Seed of Life Center for Early Leaning and Preschool, LLC welcomes volunteers and facilitates opportunities for families to meet with one another.   SOL offers a list serve and host several cultural events where collaborative efforts provide support and networking opportunities for the families and communities served.  SOL administrators, staffs, families, and community partners plan events; events occur throughout the day or in the evening to support full participation for the families and communities we serve.  Also, translation is provided for all cultural events and childcare is provided for evening events at no additional cost.   

Throughout the school year we offer several opportunities for parent(s) and guardian(s) to volunteer their time.  Parent(s)/guardian(s) are encouraged to be involved leadership roles that consist of fundraising, teacher appreciation, beautification, scholastic book orders, and marketing.  In addition, to being encouraged to participate in luncheons, celebrations, curriculum night, kindergarten enrollment nights, kindergarten readiness night, informative secessions, and parent/teacher conferences. 

Volunteer parent(s)/guardian(s) are welcome for field trips and requested if needed.  All parent volunteers are required to fill out a criminal history background check and have a cleared criminal history prior to attending field trips.

SOL is a service-learning site, which allows either college of high school students to receive college credits or community hours while in school.  Typically, individuals that volunteer at SOL are students from the local high schools, Seattle Central Community College, University of Washington, Seattle Youth Employment Program, or ReWa.
